THE NEWSLETTER OF THE MINDFULNESS IN LAW SOCIETY - JUNE 2019
THREE THINGS TO KNOW FOR JUNE

MILS CLE:

We are exited to announce our new on-demand Continuing Legal Education program, featuring approved CLE courses in mindfulness, yoga, and other contemplative practices. Opening offerings include 1 hour programs on the science of mindfulness, integrating mindfulness into your professional practice, why mindfulness matters to clients, mindful judging, as well as mindful yoga.

We welcome your CLE content, too. Please see our CLE page for more information.

NEW MEMBER BENEFIT:

In celebration of our new CLE program, we are thrilled to announce that all new members will receive 1 hour of free CLE ethics credit.

The free offering is an “Introduction to Mindfulness,” with Judi Cohen and Gullu Singh. It has been approved for general/professional responsibility/substance abuse credit in Illinois, which has CLE reciprocity with several other states. Attorneys in non-reciprocity states may petition for CLE credit, and MILS can help with that. For more information, see the MILS CLE page on our web site.

BAR STUDENTS :

BarBri, the nation's largest provider of bar prep services, has joined MILS in offering Mindful Mondays at 4 for students studying for the bar. There is no charge for this service, which hopefully will help bar candidates with stress, focus, and well-being at this important time of their lives. See our BarBri page for more information.
