Nights are drawing in and we are invite you to two Autumn events in our upcoming 'Immerse' London season.

First a surround-sound-special in the expansive dining hall of Goodenough College in Bloomsbury on 25th October.

Then a Club Inégales classic on 18th November, in the EFG London Jazz Festival featuring the return of greatly loved guest trumpet Byron Wallen.

'In beauty I walk'

Sunday 25th October 8pm, Goodenough College, Bloomsbury.

A continuous one-hour performance drawn from the Navajo (Diné) poem:

"...with beauty before me I walk...with beauty behind me I walk.."

Walk round and through the orchestra with the global musicians projected in surround-sound.

Featuring vocalist Namvula Rennie, who brings the grace and poetry of her Zambian/ Scottish background and renowned beatboxer/ sound artist Jason Singh.

From 6-8pm Gareth Llewelyn from MagicBeans will offer individual FREE immersive headphone journeys through landscapes created by him and the orchestra. Just turn up.

IBC Accelerate

Third Orchestra have been part of a project at Kings College, London led by Prof. Zoran Cvetkovic, exploring immersive sound and video technologies, working alongside Gareth Lewellyn of MagicBeans, who specialise in turning this technology into some some extraordinary interactive experiences.

Here's a great video made by Gareth capturing the experimental day on 14th August, which, along with colleagues from Kings, BBC, ITV, MIT, Shure, looked at 360° microphones and cameras, VR - and showing the livestream connection to Gareth's immerse headphone experience.

We then presented at the IBC Trade Show in September in Amsterdam at the IBC Immersive Festival Live (IFeL).
