Building on 14 years of dedicated leadership, we've promoted Denise Giambalvo to Executive Director of the Washington Health Alliance. Having served as our Director of Purchaser Strategies and then Director of Member Engagement and Business Strategy, Denise brings deep expertise to lead us into our next 20 years. She'll assume her new role at the end of June, succeeding Dr. Drew Oliveira, who will be transitioning to a new role within the Alliance.

WHA Medical Director retires at end of month


This June, Dr. Sharon Eloranta, a tireless advocate for healthcare quality, will retire. As the Washington Health Alliance's Medical Director for Performance Measurement and Practice Transformation since 2021, Dr. Eloranta has been pivotal to our progress. We thank her for her immense dedication to improving care for all Washingtonians.
