Hospice Savannah Thrift Shoppe

Time to Spring Clean! Our Foundation is excited about the fundraising and outreach potential of our Thrift Shoppe in Pooler scheduled to open next month. We would love to have your gently used clothing, household wares, jewelry, furniture etc. You may donate your treasures on Thursday mornings in March at our administrative office's warehouse, located at 1674 Chatham Parkway.

And if you enjoy thrifting, working with the public, or tinkering with repairs, you may want to consider volunteering! Simply fill out the short application form or call our Foundation at 912.629.1055. Full details on donating or volunteering are at this link.
Accepting applications for Camp Aloha now

The death of a parent, sibling or friend can be an isolating experience for a child. They may feel different and removed from their peers, thinking they are the only one to feel emptiness and loss. Camp Aloha (May 5 - 7 in Effingham County) is a powerfully healing weekend of grief work and fun that helps children and teens realize they are not alone. Informational videos and registration forms are  available at this link or call Full Circle bereavement counselor Barbara Moss at 912.303.9442.
Thank you Isle of Hope!

We enjoyed a beautiful February afternoon of sunshine and fellowship at the Isle of Hope oyster roast and covered dish organized by community volunteers Chris Roberts and Shirley & Don Haupt (pictured center). Warm thanks to them, the marina staff, musicians from the Midtown Pickers, the many raffle prize donors and the many, many oyster-eaters! More than $10,000 was raised. Check out Bunny Ware's great coverage and pictures at this link.  We look forward to many more community get-togethers and parties as we kick off our Summer Nights party season in June!
Dealing with a loved one with Dementia?

Our RCI REACH program assists with stress management techniques and strategies for coping, along with encouragement, support and understanding...all at no cost to you. Happy Hour at Hospice House

We recently began a Thursday evening Happy Hour for patients and families; a time of fellowship and relaxation. One family, and subsequent donor, told our volunteer coordinator how sharing an evening cocktail made their stay more reminiscent of home,"This was just what we needed!"

Read the list of all  the generous  folks who made donations during February here.  Thank you for your support.
Last weeks to see Nancy Solana's work

The stunning Low Country oils and watercolors of Nancy Lebey Solana will hang in our Art Gallery through the end of March. There are still a few available! Nancy recently wrote, "Thank you for allowing me to place a show at Hospice. At long last I feel I have given something back in honor of the wonderful care Daddy received there. It was an honor and privilege."
