Thrilling Transformations in Tourism
With the forecast, the HKTB is set to elevate Hong Kong's tourism landscape with a series of initiatives and hosting an array of world-class mega events — including sports, cultural exhibitions, art shows and concerts throughout the year.
Adding an extra layer of excitement and enhancing visitors' overall experience, monthly fireworks displays and drone shows against the stunning backdrop of Victoria Harbour will captivate both visitors and locals. Additionally, the iconic nightly light-and-sound show, A Symphony of Lights, is set to undergo a complete revitalisation, promising an even more enchanting spectacle in the near future.
On the leisure side, the Development Bureau plans to introduce new shops and restaurants along the harbourfront, enriching the recreational offerings for tourists. Lastly, the HKTB will further promote outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, trail running and city walks, highlighting the city's diverse attractions beyond its urban landscape.

A Game Changing Move for Rugby Sevens in 2025
The 2024 Hong Kong Sevens, hosted from April 5th to 7th, proved to be a resounding success, drawing in 10,000 spectators across three days of exhilarating rugby matches and general entertainment — catering to both fervent sports enthusiasts and those simply in search of a weekend filled with excitement.
Next year, the tournament will be aiming for a bigger celebration, necessitating a grander venue. That's why it is planned to relocate to the future Kai Tak Sports Park — an ambitious project spanning 28 hectares. Serving as a symbol of civic pride, this vibrant destination will foster positive social interaction through sports and leisure activities. The state-of-the-art stadium, boasting a retractable roof and flexible pitch surface, will accommodate up to 50,000 spectators. Additionally, the Sports Park will feature an indoor sports centre with 10,000 seats and a public sports ground with 5,000 seats. Visitors can also enjoy expansive open spaces, retail outlets and dining options within the park, making it an ideal venue for large scale events and community gatherings.
The future holds boundless opportunities for Hong Kong's tourism sector, and we eagerly anticipate welcoming adventurers from around the globe to explore all that our vibrant city has to offer. Let's collaborate soon and create unforgettable experiences together!
