Mobilizing the Collective: The Role You Play in Early Childhood Success

Join us at the  Center for Health Equity  on  Wednesday, February 26th from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. , as we mobilize Pinellas County’s collective resources to develop a more unified and comprehensive early childhood system. Learn how you can contribute to the growing movement to foster Birth to 5 initiatives through public–private partnerships, family caregiver support, initiative funding, governance, and more.

Keynote by David Lawrence Jr. , founder of the Children’s Movement of Florida, and author of  A Dedicated Life: Journalism, Justice and a Chance for Every Child .

Admission is free, but registration is requested Signed books are available for free for the first 200 registrants. Attendance is required to receive the book.
Milestone Checklist

Ten check-ups can make a world of difference. During the first two years of your child's life, it's important to take your little one to the pediatrician for regular check-ups. To help you know what you should be looking for around each of these check-ups, we've put together a milestone checklist.

Family Movies at the Royal
Sponsored by Thrive by Five, every last Saturday in 2020 the Royal will show family movies for a donation of $2! Doors open at 2pm and the movie starts at 2:22pm.

This month our movie is The Lion King! Next month, our movie will be Frozen .
Community Spotlight: 10th Annual Baby Talk Workshop & Celebration
This interactive workshop is for families and children ages 0 to 5 years and will feature a guest speaker, free food, enrichment activities, music, exhibitor resources, games, photo booth, giveaways, and a fun morning from 9:30am - 12:30pm on Saturday 2/22 at Pinellas Technical College South

Lots of different things play a part in positive child development. Health, understandably, is at the top of the list. We work hard to make sure our kids have access to doctors and medicine when they are sick. But according to National Academies of Science, medical care makes up only 10 to 20% of what contributes to healthy outcomes for a population .
