Dear Thrive Community,

April has been an active month for policy and advocacy, which we will continue to build on in May. Participating in Rise Together’s Advocacy Day was a unique opportunity for Thrive to raise a voice at the state level for the housing, childcare and supportive services needed to maintain a self-sufficient populace and workforce. The policy work being done by Thrive and our local nonprofits to strategically plan and advocate for childcare and housing continues to expand, as does the work to ensure that our community is climate ready and resilient to face the man-made and environmental changes that affect our region.

We look forward to the month ahead and the opportunity to lead the conversation in the fast-moving policy arena! On June 7, we will continue the conversations with our special guest State Senator Scott Weiner who will address a Joint TAG session on the problem of housing the nonprofit workforce.
