Thriving Mind and JCS Assist At Surfside Collapse

Thriving Mind and its provider Jewish Community Services have been working at the Surfside building collapse assisting those family and first-responders who have mental health needs following the tragedy.

Miami-Dade Police and Thriving Mind Program
Named Law Enforcement Mental Health Learning Site

A program run by the Miami-Dade Police Department and Thriving Mind South Florida has been named a Law Enforcement Mental Health Learning Site by the Council on State Governments Justice Center.
 
Law Enforcement-Mental Health Learning Sites are a resource for agencies looking to tailor successful implementation strategies and response models to address their own distinct problems and circumstances.

First Virtual Mental Health Fair

Thriving Mind South Florida, along with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, Banyan Health System, Citrus Health Network, the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, and Miami-Dade County Schools hosted a free virtual mental health fair May 26.
 
Called Lifting Up Children and Families, the virtual fair introduced the various agencies that work with children and families in mental health and substance use treatment, prevention, education and outreach.

Throughout the pandemic, corporations and individuals have provided donations of PPE for Thriving Mind and its network of providers.

Most recently, we also received a donation from Sam’s Club of 4,800 (33.8 FL OZ) Hand Sanitizer Bottles.
