A Helping Hand: How Guaranteed Income is Transforming Lives on Atlanta's Westside

To boost financial security for women, the In Her Hands guaranteed income program has expanded to Atlanta's English Avenue and Vine City neighborhoods. This expansion will provide nearly 270 women with $36,000 of guaranteed income over three years, empowering them to chart a path to a brighter future.

Following success in other Georgia communities, where participants reported improved financial resilience and wellness after just one year, the program now brings hope to Westside residents. Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s vision of guaranteed income as a pathway to dignity, In Her Hands works to combat poverty while respecting each woman's unique journey toward financial stability.

Preserving Montana's Grasslands: The Nature Conservancy's Innovative Approach

Imagine a win-win solution where cattle ranchers and Mother Nature thrive together. That's exactly what's happening in Montana's sweeping grasslands, where The Nature Conservancy's (TNC) innovative grassbank program is building strong bonds with local ranchers.

With the help of a $1.2 million grant from the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, TNC is replicating its 60,000-acre Matador Ranch grassbank, offering more local ranchers’ access to high-quality grazing land and support for adopting conservation practices on their properties.

This community-driven approach preserves native grasslands and wildlife habitats while supporting ranchers' livelihoods.

Talk about having your grass and grazing it, too!
