A Leadership Transition Message from Fay Twersky

After years of leading with vision, impact and heart, Fay Twersky is beginning a new chapter — one centered on her own family. From guiding the foundation’s remarkable growth to creating space for more time with her wife, children and life’s adventures, Fay’s commitment to what matters most remains clear.

Her legacy not only reflects transformative impact, but also the strength of the team and culture she has built for the future.

Crossing the Finish Line: HBCU Scholarships Make an Impact

For many students, the final barrier to graduation isn't academic — it's financial.

Less than a year into the foundation’s $50 million, 10-year scholarship initiative, nearly 600 students across Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College and Spelman College have received more than $4.2 million in gap funding. Recently, some of the first recipients crossed the stage.

Mental Health Awareness Month: 3 Methods to Cope with Stress

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and it's a reminder that caring for your well-being doesn’t have to be complicated. Our Mental Health & Well-Being grantee partner Common Sense Media shares a few simple ways to manage stress.

✍️ Journaling. Writing down your thoughts can help identify sources of stress and put challenges into perspective. Research suggests journaling may also support sleep and self-confidence.

👥 Spend time with friends. Social media keeps us connected, but in-person interaction plays an important role in well-being. Spending time with others is linked to greater life satisfaction.

💛 Practice gratitude. Our brains often focus on problems, making gratitude a powerful practice. Try writing down a few specific things you’re grateful for each day.
