Recent Highlights from Thrive's Afterschool Program

At Thrive South Nashville, we’ve been busy creating memorable moments and impactful learning experiences for our students. Over the past few weeks, our afterschool program has been a hub of creativity, teamwork, and skill-building!

A Sweet Competition: Gingerbread House Decorating

The holiday spirit was alive and well as our students participated in a thrilling Gingerbread House Decorating Competition. Armed with frosting, candy, and their imaginations, the kids crafted stunning—and occasionally hilarious—edible creations. The competition encouraged teamwork, artistic expression, and a dash of friendly rivalry.

First Aid Lessons with Scout Troop 22 Brentwood

We were honored to welcome Scout Troop 22 from Brentwood, who joined us for an engaging and practical session on first aid. The Scouts taught our students essential skills, including how to handle minor injuries, respond to emergencies, and bandage wounds.

The interactive demonstrations and hands-on practice left everyone feeling more confident in their ability to act in a crisis. This collaboration not only equipped our students with valuable life skills, but also fostered a sense of community and support.
