Each teacher is asked to invite a student baseball or softball player from his or her school to be the catcher for their pitch.
2019 Elementary Teacher of the Year Elizabeth Gulden from Gordon L. Willson Elementary School threw her pitch to kindergartner Lydia Allaby. Lydia is the youngest student to ever catch a Teacher of the Year First Pitch.
The students are the only non-Brewers to catch a ceremonial First Pitch.

Baraboo's Band Marches Onto Fleetwood Mac Tribute Stage
On Tuesday, Baraboo's  Band-O-Rams performed with TUSK at the Fleetwood Mac tribute show at Palace Theatre in Wisconsin Dells.

According to Palace Theatre's website, "Tusk is the number one Tribute to Fleetwood Mac in the world, bar none. No wigs, no backing tracks, no gimmicks, just five musicians recreating the music of Fleetwood Mac to perfection with the note-for-note renditions that no other Fleetwood Mac tribute on the touring scene today can come close to duplicating.
TUSK covers all the great hits of Fleetwood Mac, which has featured the talents of Mick Fleetwood, Christine and John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, and others over the years." -- TUSK covered all the greats - and the Baraboo Marching Band did, too!

Van Gheem Attends FBLA State Officer Training
On June 10th, Baraboo High School student Sara Van Gheem attended the Wisconsin Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Officer Training. Sara was elected to be the Region 4 Vice President, and is very excited to be stepping into her new role!

Of the experience, Sara said, "In the four days of FBLA officer training in Stevens Point I gained many experiences and learned many lessons that will help me not only as a state officer for Wisconsin FBLA but also for my future in my career. I was able to sit in on meetings with my team and advisor, Mr. Manson, and we were able to make decisions on different aspects regarding the future of WI BBLA. Another part of my duties that I will be taking charge on is hosting RLC at the high school this year and introducing new chapters in my region. This experience was extremely enriching and would not be possible without my advisor, Mr. Manson. He has guided me throughout this whole experience and I am very grateful for all of the hard work he has put into Baraboo FBLA. I encourage everyone to join the Future Business Leaders of America as it teaches a great deal of skills and lessons that can be utilize not only in high school, but for life as well."
