Volunteer in the Baraboo School District!
The Baraboo School District continues to welcome volunteers within each of our schools.

In order to best support our numerous school volunteers, we are offering another volunteer training at West School (707 Center St.) on February 4 from 3:15-4:00 PM.

School volunteers from any of our schools are welcome to attend this training to better understand the role and dynamics of a school volunteer along with receiving some information about school district volunteer expectations. The volunteer training is completely optional and open to all school district volunteers. Thank you to our many school volunteers and community partners for all of the ways you support and impact each of our Baraboo schools.

Please contact Principal Chris Olson at 608-355-3906 or cdolson@barabooschools.net with any questions.

4K  (and new to Baraboo 5K students)  Registration for 2019-20
4K Registration for 2019-20
The 4-Year-Old Kindergarten (4K) Registration within the Baraboo School District for the 2019-20 school year will be any time between 7:00 am. and 4:00 pm. on Tuesday, April 2nd at East Elementary (815 6th Street, Baraboo) if your child turns 4-years-old by no later than Sept. 1, 2019.  (Please bring your child's birth certificate to 4K registration along with proof of residency). You may contact District Registrar, Kristine Snow, at 608-355-3955 or ksnow@barabooschools.net with registration questions or you can visit her at the district office at 423 Linn Street, Baraboo to register for 4K after April 2.  You are invited to discover more about 4K in Baraboo by accessing the 4K videos found at the following website: Baraboo 4K Curriculum & Instruction .

The 4-year-old kindergarten (4K) program also known as BELC (Baraboo Early Learning Cooperative) will be beginning it's 12th year of programming in the fall of 2019.  Please note that BELC is a half-day program for 3.17 hours on 4 days (M, T, Th & F) each week with many parent outreach opportunities. Our BELC AM session runs from 7:55-11:05 am., and our BELC PM session runs from 11:50 am. - 3:00 pm.  Any 4K student would need to qualify for transportation based on the location of their residence outside of the Baraboo city limits, and 4K transportation is only provided during our afternoon sessions. We do not typically offer a second year of BELC to an individual student as 4K is meant to be a one-year program for all of our students.

Please contact Dr. Chris Olson, BELC/West Principal, at 608-355-3906 or cdolson@barabooschools.net at any time with 4K questions regarding the 2019-20 school year.  Thank you for working to give your child a great start with their educational career by registering him/her for 4K.  We look forward to working with your family!
