Dear Roy Cloud community,
After a very long time apart, it was invigorating to engage with so many families at Maze Day last week! What a great way to learn about some of the unique programs our school has to offer. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the day possible! Our raffle and t-shirt sales kickstarted our fundraising efforts and raised $2,000 for the PTO. Congrats to our raffle winners, the Elhagrasey and Wester families, who now get to park in the primo parking spots all year!
We hope the school year is off to a bright start for all of you. We look forward to partnering with our administrators, teachers, parents, and community to make this a memorable year for Roy Cloud students. As always, reach out to [email protected] if you have questions or want to get more involved!
Warmly,
Your 2021-22 PTO Officers

Support the PTO Direct Donations Campaign
As we start a new school year, we ask our community to remember that many of Roy Cloud's vital academic and enrichment programs depend on financial support from our families. That’s why the PTO kicks off each year with our biggest annual fundraiser, the Direct Donations campaign. The campaign is running now until October 31st. We have a goal to raise $250,000 this year, which is the amount the PTO needs to Power Up and operate at the same level as years past. Your donation in any amount brings us closer to that goal!
Don't delay! Visit roycloudpto.com/donate and make your donation today! As a token of appreciation, you'll receive our 2021-22 Roy Cloud car magnet!
Remember, Roy Cloud PTO is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization and you can double the impact of your donation with corporate matching from your employers!

Update on After-School Sports
After the cancellation of the Fall/Winter school sports leagues and careful consideration and reassessment of their programs, Redwood City After School Sports has developed a new structure that will provide safe and sustainable programming to the youth of Redwood City. In addition to its current non-league programs, the city will be offering modified programs for volleyball, basketball, pickleball, and kickball. Learn more about how the city is navigating our return to sports.

Reduce Food Waste & Garbage on Campus
Now that lunch and food service is back on campus, please help encourage kids to produce as little waste as possible by packing only what they can eat and using reusable containers! If your student is getting lunch and snack from food service on campus, please pack cutlery so they don't need to use disposable sporks. An initiative to begin composting food waste will begin soon at Roy Cloud...stay tuned for updates!
