Boatloads of fish! In Luke's telling, before the disciples follow Jesus they have a miraculous catch of fish...so much fish that their boats are sinking. They (and we) don't get to choose how or when God's abundance comes. The question is, what will we do with it?
Good and gracious God, Your abundance can feel overwhelming to us. Jesus will show us what to do with it if we can just follow! In Jesus' name, Amen.

WONDERING...
Real questions from real people to learn more about faith
|
|
What is the point of us? There are many, many answers that we could give, but for our lives of faith it is about two things. Jesus says the greatest commandments are to love God and to love your neighbor...on this hangs everything else. In our Gospel lesson, Jesus calls the disciples to follow Him...not even Jesus can do it all on His own. We join Him in loving God by showing love for our neighbor by seeing them, caring for them and inviting them into a community.

THANK YOU GENEVA LUTHERAN
Your generosity has greatly improved LOMC for MANY years to come! Your congregation's $13,000 donation accomplished these amazing additions:
- 2 high-efficiency, on-demand water heaters
- 30 brand new mattresses
Our Property Committee Chair was diligent in making sure your donation was used to its fullest potential by finding the best prices and quality. We are so pleased at how everything has turned out. Blessings to everyone at Geneva Lutheran and your example of service to the community!
