3/7/18: Tony Campolo  will speak at the Church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields , 8000 St. Martin's Lane, Philadelphia 19118, at 7:30 p.m. His talk, "What Will Be Asked of Us On Judgement Day?" explores how Christ is waiting to be encountered in the poor, the sick, and the alien. We will discuss how the presence of such people are sacramental means for experiencing Christ's presence in those persons, and the responsibilities that all of this places on each of us here and now. We'll also learn about the work of Beyond Borders, specifically the Graduation Program, helping people escape deep poverty in Haiti. The talk is preceded by SUPPER at St. Martin's at 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall, and Compline at 7:00 p.m. in the Church. All are welcome. Free; please RSVP at www.StMartinEC.org/events .

The Catacomb Closet at Holy Trinity Church at 212 S. High Street, West Chester, operates an upscale resale shop selling a variety of housewares, books, jewelry, children's toys, adult and children's clothing, pictures, entertaining and decorative glassware, as well as seasonal items at bargain prices. It is open to the general public every Friday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. All proceeds are donated to charitable organizations within our community and the Diocese and to those causes affected by tragic world events.

CHURCH SERVICE CHANGES

3/3/18:  at 7 p.m., St. John's Church, Compass , will host a  Lenten Taize -style candlelit Service of Worship and Prayer.

During Lent, on  Fridays at 6 p.m. through  March 23 St. John's Church, Compass will hold  Stations of the Cross , followed by a meatless potluck supper.

Attention, Good Samaritans!  St. Mark's, Frankford needs your help in filling these  "Blessings Bags" for distribution to those in need. Please help us make these empty bags overflow with kindness, as well as: bottled water, soap, razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, individually wrapped 'wet ones', individual snacks, combs, pocket packs of tissues, tampons, sanitary napkins and hand sanitizer.
