Danielle's Mitzvah Project

For her mitzvah project, Danielle Spry is focusing on homelessness in Erie. She is asking the Jewish community to support her project by donating lightly used or new coats and blankets and new underwear and socks for men and women. The donations will be given to the Upper Room for their Blizzard of Blankets fundraiser. This fundraiser distributes items to the unhoused population to help them prepare for the cold, winter months. https://www.upperroomerie.org/

Danielle also intends to create and distribute "resource cards" to homeless shelters and other various homeless outreach facilities in Erie county. The "resource card" will display information on county-wide resources that assists the homeless in finding food (daily), shelter, counseling, and other important services.

Please drop off all donations to Temple Anshe Hesed by November 15th. Thank you for supporting those less fortunate.

Please save your paper towel rolls for a TempleHood crafting night! Feel free to give them to Korlyn, Fran, Ellie, or leave them in the office.
