Join an online meeting to review and help develop a new national patient information aid intended to raise awareness of blood clots in early pregnancy.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is recruiting for two lay members to join the NICE Prioritisation Board to bring a perspective of patients, people who use services, and carers to selection and routing of topics.


You do not need or personal knowledge or experience of every topic but should have a broad understanding of the issues important to patients and their families or unpaid carers.

Opportunity to become involved in the design of a UK study on the role of tranexamic acid in the treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding in women anti-coagulated for a prior thrombosis.

Managing anticoagulation after an operation


The ACUTE project team from Imperial College, London are developing a trial to look at ways to improve reducing the risk of blood clots after surgery.


They are keen to hear opinions and suggestions about this potential study through a short anonymous survey.
