School Attendance Laws

Did you know that parents of elementary school age children are legally responsible for ensuring  that their children attend school every day?  As educational institutions, schools are mandated to monitor school attendance and report excessive absences and tardiness to the County Attorney's Office.  Our school board attendance policy equates five unexcused tardies to one unexcused absence.  Please make every effort to ensure that your child is IN his/her classroom  by 8:30 every day!

Your child's daily attendance is available to you online through Skyward Family Access at  www.wayzata.k12.mn.us/login
