Attention Birchview Families!
The students in Miss Wilkens' 2nd grade class are looking for donations for our 'Kids Charity GarageSale' that will be held the night of the Birchview Chill.
If you have any gently used books, toys or stuffed animals you would like to donate, please bring the items to Miss Wilkens' classroom by Friday, April 28th.
All items will be for sale the night of the BV Chill and all money raised will be donated to Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners.
As you are spring cleaning at home, look for any gently used books, toys and stuffed animals you would like to donate and bring them in by April 28th!

Birchview Food Drive - April 17-24
|
Dear Families,
Birchview's Student Council is be holding our annual food drive this week. We are partnering with Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners (IOCP) Food Shelf to assist families in our local community.
You can help us make a difference by donating non-perishables such as canned vegetables, meat, fruit, meal-in-a-can or box, soup, cereal, rice, potatoes, pasta, healthy snacks for kids, or anything else you find on your pantry shelves!
We will also collect household items such as cleaning products, diapers, toilet paper, paper towels, and other personal care items. Below you can find a list of IOCP's most needed items.

Donations should be brought to homeroom teachers beginning on Monday April 17th and will be accepted until Friday, April 21st. Please send food only during this time period. Student Council will be delivering food to IOCP next Friday.

All family members of 5th graders are welcome. We ask that you please stay with your child until they are able to go to class at
8:20
due to limited supervision.
In order to run this event we must have all volunteer spots filled!

Support our Plymouth Firefighters
|

Firefighters and the Plymouth Crime & Fire Prevention Fund will host their 7th annual waffle breakfast fundraiser 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, May 7 at Fire Station III, 3300 Dunkirk Lane N. The breakfast features all-you-can-eat waffles served with sausage, juice, coffee and tea. A gluten-free option is available.
Tickets are $7 in advance, $8 on the day of the event, and $4 for children 10 & under. Advance tickets may be purchased by emailing plymouthcrimefire@gmail.com or calling 612-516-3143. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted.
Proceeds from the event support the Plymouth Crime & Fire Prevention Fund - a nonprofit, volunteer organization made up of Plymouth residents and business owners. The Fund, established in 1977, raises money to support special initiatives that enhance safety in the community. Past purchases of the Fund include Plymouth Police K9 units, SWAT equipment, public safety vehicles, Night to Unite, DARE, scholarship programming and Fire Department training site and rescue gear.

| Summer 2017 Youth and Adult Enrichment |
Does your child want to stay home alone after school? Learn important safety principles and how to make safe decisions while home alone. April 30, 4-6:30 p.m. at Oakwood Elementary.
Get creative in this fun parent-child class! May 17, 6-7:45 p.m. at Central Middle School.
Join us after school this spring to learn the techniques that artists use to create astonishing effects. We will paint, draw, sculpt, collage and more!
The spring session starts soon!
