Catholic Schools Week is coming!

Dear Families,

Next week we celebrate Catholic Schools Week! This is a time for us to recognize and appreciate All Saints Catholic Academy.

There are so many components of our school to celebrate…an amazing community…awesome teachers…the gift of freely expressing our faith…and of course, the incredible students that grace our halls! Each day will hold a different celebration. Read more below.

I am so grateful that you have chosen ASCA for your child. May these days be filled with joy and gratitude for the gift of Catholic Education.

Our theme this year is...

Reflecting throughout the week on how ASCA Lights the Way...

What does our school do to bring light into the world? We will ask students, faculty, staff, and families to reflect on this question throughout the week, and share our ideas in a display!

MONDAY, JANUARY 31

We are grateful that our school is surrounded by a strong community where everyone does their part!

Activity: Each grade will create a poster for one of these groups to say thank you for all that they do:

- Police Department

- Fire Department

- Life Haven Shelter

- Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish

- Mary Wade Home

- Rocco’s Bakery

- Fair Haven Library

- Fair Haven Post Office

- Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 1

We are grateful to the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and all family members of ASCA students! Thank you for sharing your students with us!

Activity: Students will show their gratitude to their families. As for the details… it’s a surprise!

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 2

We are grateful for the many cultures that make up our nation and we celebrate our diverse national origins!

Activity: We will create a mural of artwork representing the flags of our nation of origin. Students and staff can dress down in colors and patterns celebrating their heritage.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 3

We are grateful for our wonderful, talented, amazing students – the reason we are here!

Activity: All-school dress down day! Students are in for a treat… the day will feature ice cream cup snacks and a school-wide Bingo game with prizes.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 4

We are grateful for a dedicated and caring faculty and staff who do everything with the students in mind.

NOON DISMISSAL

Activity: Teacher and staff dress down day. Students will get to spend a little time with a teacher from a different grade during a 30 minute teacher swap!

UPCOMING FUNDRAISER

Remember the Lyman Orchard’s pies and cookie dough? Now we have Emma’s Gourmet Popcorn! Check out this flyer with fun and interesting popcorn flavors to sell to your family and friends. This flyer will be going home with students on Monday. Orders must be returned by Thursday, February 17. A portion of your sales goes towards your Fair Share Fee of $200 which is due May 2.
