Thursday Nights Holiday Lights Will Be Fun And Bright In Flemington Starting On Dec. 6
FLEMINGTON, N.J. — Thursday Night Holiday Lights returns for a second exciting year, Dec. 6, 13 and 20.
 
The historic borough will be decked out for the holidays. Each of those nights there will be holiday activities such as caroling, antique fire truck rides, luminaries and horse-drawn carriage rides as well as special offers and fun activities at local businesses and organizations.
 
Santa Claus will be at a different location each night to pose for photos with pets or children. Mrs. Claus will be at Teaberry's Carriage House for story time. Children can bring their letters for her to give to Santa and get a goodie bag.
Flemington will welcome back the Paw Patrol characters Skye and Chase from the popular animated TV series about a team of plucky rescue dogs.They will greet fans at the historic court house each night.
 
Music will be provided by True Voice, a Spanish Choir from Saint Magdalen's Church, students from Hunterdon Central High School and others.
 
Participating businesses will decorate their store fronts and will be open from at least 6 to 8 p.m. Shoppers can vote for their favorite window decorations.
Refreshments will be available on Main Street such as hot dogs, roasted chestnuts, soup and more from Zoup! and a hot cocoa bar. Main Street Manor Bed & Breakfast will serve cookies, hot chocolate and egg nog by the fire place each Thursday night.
 
All visitors are invited to visit the “Wishing Trees” in front of the courthouse. Write a wish or a message on a piece of ribbon then tie it on the tree. Last year’s ribbons included everything from personal messages and hopes for world peace. The activity is free.

 Dec. 6 — Flemington Methodist Church, handing out candy canes during their Lawn Concert. Bring a chair and a warm blanket so you can get in the spirit with holiday music.

Dec. 20 — Gingerbread Courthouse Decorating and cookie decorating by Grateful Bites, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Stangl Factory on Stangl Road. Grateful Bites is creating a gingerbread replica of the historic courthouse and will be decorating it on site, as well as offering a decorate your own gingerbread cookie booth for children, available for a $5 donation to Ability 2 Work. Also, there will be other historic buildings made of gingerbread created by local organizations on display. CHIRP WorkShop will have a stuff-a-gingerbread-plushie booth for kids ($12/each) too. All gingerbread houses will remain on display through Dec. 22.
