September 3, 2019
As you may know, we've entered the next and final phase in the Zoning Ordinance Rewrite - the Countywide Map Amendment phase.
I am hosting a meeting on Thursday, September 5, for District 3 residents and property owners to provide a briefing and overview of this part of the Zoning Ordinance Rewrite. Planning department staff will review the adopted guide to new zones, the decision matrix, and the new online tool which will allow residents to view the draft new zones for all Prince George's County properties. You will have the opportunity to view maps of current zoning and draft new zoning for all District 3 properties.
Zoning Ordinance Rewrite: Adopted Guide to New Zones & Decision Matrix Briefing for District 3
Thursday, September 5
Maps available at 6:30 p.m.
Presentation at 7:00 p.m.
Department of Parks & Recreation Administration Building
6600 Kenilworth Avenue
Within the next few weeks every property owner in Prince George's County will receive a detailed mailing outlining the next stage of the process--be sure to watch your mailbox for this important information. While this Thursday's meeting will be focused on District 3 properties, the Planning department will conduct public information sessions across the entire County this fall. These fall dates will be released soon.
sure to Save the Date and join me on Saturday, September 21, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. for our District 3 kick-off meeting for the 2020 Census. We know that the majority of District 3 neighborhoods were under-counted in the 2010 census. This is a call to action for all of us to work together to ensure we have a Complete Count in District 3 in 2020!
As always, feel free to reach out to a member of my District 3 team or me if we can help you in any way. #onlytogether
