Tremont West is Hiring an AmeriCorps VISTA Member
The Tremont West VISTA 2021 Project will be a great opportunity for a young professional interested in many aspects of community development. This opportunity will give an individual exposure to working directly with the residents and businesses of Tremont. The full-year VISTA position will run from June 7, 2021, through June 6, 2022.

Applications are due by Tuesday, April 6, 2021, but will be interviewing as applications are received.

Tremont West Seeking Nominations for Board of Directors
Tremont West is seeking candidates for its upcoming Board of Directors elections in May 2021! We are looking for members who are interested in working together to give back to the Tremont, Duck Island, and Irishtown Bend Community by helping the neighborhood improve and prosper. We are seeking individuals who will be active participants for a three-year term on the Board. Please reach out to Nominating Committee Co-Chairs, Brent Burke, Grace French, Brian Hannon, and Dan Cotter, at TWDCBoard@gmail.com for information about what a board member does for our community and how to apply. Applicants will be asked to submit an application about why they are interested, what you would bring to TWDC, and how you would support our community, the deadline is Friday, April 9, 2021.  Elections will be held during TWDC Annual Meeting in May 2021. Contact us at TWDCBoard@gmail.com to get started. Covid-19 vaccinations are here! A team of Tremont residents and professionals have volunteered to help those eligible secure your vaccine appointments around the area. Current eligibility is detailed at coronavirus.ohio.gov/vaccine. This confidential service is for anyone living, working, worshipping, or having a friend or relative in Tremont.

What You’ll Need to Provide:
Name, Phone number, Email (yours or someone you know), Date of Birth, and how many minutes you’re willing to travel to a vaccine site (or if you need a ride to your appointment)

Traffic Alert - West 6th Street & West 14th Street
West 6th Street Brick Restoration Project Traffic Advisory
On Monday, April 5, 2021, weather permitting, the City will begin brick restoration on West 6th Street from Literary Road to University Road. A portion of the street will be closed and one lane of traffic will be maintained. A complete closure is not expected to occur. No on-street parking will be permitted for the duration of the project.
The project will remove the various concrete caps in the street and replace it with brick. The work will take place during the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The brick restoration project is expected to complete by April 30, 2021.

We hope to have more information about the W 14th Street re-surfacing project next week.
Traffic Alert - NEORSD
Our contractor is progressing with work on the West 3rd Quigley / Westerly Miscellaneous CSO Project. This includes new utility installation and modification of existing utilities along Scranton Road. We will soon begin construction impacting the roadway. This will require the use of heavy equipment and air tools to work on the road. Scranton Road will be closed during these repairs. (see map below – area of Scranton and Seymour).
 
Please see the drawing below for the area impacted by this work and traffic flow modifications(indicated in red).  I’ve included the project brochures for your use as well. This work is mentioned on page 2 area A.
 
The area will be impacted beginning approximately on March 15th, 2021, and continue through the end of May 2021.

Prosperity Social Club invites you to enjoy their Fish Fry! Anyone who hasn’t made reservations to dine-in should call 216.937.1938 and pre-order their meals for timed, curbside pickup. Limited online delivery will also be available via DoorDash®.  Friday Fish Fry runs from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm.


Dyngus Day 2021 will be broken up into 3 SESSIONS Monday, April 5, 2021, 10:00 AM 10:00 PM
Each session will have a limit of 100 tickets available, to ensure the best safety, cleaning + social distancing practices.
Entertainment includes pierogi eating contests, polka dancing + live entertainment.
DJ Kishka – renowned Polka personality – will serve as the host of the daylong celebration at Forest City Brewery, the oldest Beer Garden in Ohio

Post 58 Open Dyngus Day at noon. We will carry Eastern European Beer " OBALON "and "1718" along with Polish Vodka, TEE SHIRTS. Kielbasa Sandwiches and more. Masks required.

Did you know that CareSource
can provide transportation for members’ appointments with participating providers through transportation vendors? Members can also get rides to Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) appointments and redetermination meetings at the County Department of Medicaid.
Each member can receive up to 15 rides to and from appointments (30 one-way trips) per 12-month period.

COVID 19 Vaccination Information
From the Cleveland Department of Public Health: Supply is limited; it will take a number of weeks to vaccinate eligible residents. Cleveland residents that are age-eligible may join the Cleveland Department of Public Health’s waitlist. Contact our call center, 216.664.2222, Monday - Friday, 9a to 5p. Those that meet the criteria will be notified and provided a link and phone number to schedule an appointment when doses become available.
