From Laurie Brown, Director of Parish Life
Good Morning Everyone!
Welcome to CSMSG Some Good News or CSMSG SGN for short.
I'm Laurie Brown. Let's get to:

 Some Good News!
Beth Panke Nguyen has been hard at work putting together a CSMSG Quarantine Memory Box. The pandemic has turned out to be a defining moment for CSMSG. We have started collecting "journal moments" from the congregation to compile as a time capsule of sorts for future generations. Your contributions are welcome! A photo and/or 200(?) words from your family to capture a specific memory/experience – loneliness, homeschooling, empty shelves, exercise routines, etc. The idea behind soliciting moments from parishioners is to reflect the day to day realities of individuals and families in isolation See here what Beth has put together so far:
Please submit your "journal moments" to Beth Panke Nguyen at   bethpanke7@gmail.com . I f you have a question please contact Laurie Brown at   Laurie@csmsg.org .

Several of you have asked how the CSMSG staff is holding up!
I asked the staff to send me a photo or sentence about what is bringing them joy right now. Here are their answers:

Fr. Andrew Archie
A daily walk around the beautiful neo-Geothic campus of Washington University.
James Leaks  Here is James Leaks with what he has been doing during quarantine!

The Speropulous Family
Family bike rides!

The Clem Family
Picking strawberries at the local farm!

Debbie Fenner
Since I have been working at home from my kitchen table, I have loved having a window in my office. I have been blessed by watching the people of CSMSG take care of each other.

Terry Arthur
I made deviled eggs yesterday for a dinner with my sister, brother- in-law and parents. I had never seen a double yolk egg in hard boiled form before. I am blessed to have my parents with me still – even with their health trials –  little things bring me joy.

Marlene Kleffner
What brings me joy right now is tending to my garden and watching it grow.

 Mary Beth Tipton
Designing projects to share the word of the Gospel with our children brings me joy!
Chapman grandbabies

Marty Chapman
My grandchildren bring me joy every day!

Rob Lehman
The sounds of nature in our quiet neighborhood and the daily checking in with our neighbors.
And here's a look at the weather with Bishop-elect Deon Johnson!
Thank you for the weather report Bishop-elect Deon Johnson! Everyone is getting into the weather reporting business!

Now back to the joy-filled CSMSG staff!

My dogs Taco and Midge have been helping me stay joyful during this time. They’ve been spoiled with longer walks and extra treats and I’ve been spoiled with all their cuddles and love.

Alexis Posnanski
The three boys with the new puppy Lucky. Also, the sign in front of our house is congratulating Owen on his graduation the from 5 th  grade. These two things are joyful in our home right now.

Photography always takes me out of myself and brings me real happiness and if I’m lucky a decent picture or two. I was glad to get this shot of a robin family nesting over our back door.

Eileen Klamer
I'm always happiest in my garden! It's getting my full attention this year.
Amy Zimmerman
I am most grateful for the time the lockdown has given us with our daughter, Kate, before she heads to college. In the time before coronavirus, I joking referred to a moment spent with Kate as a “rare bird sighting” as she flew among school, work, and social activities. During lockdown, she is home for dinner and regularly beating her dad and me at cards. I think we’ll miss her even more when it’s time for her to go to the University of Arizona.

Fr. Tom Albinson
Hearing how the community of St Michael and St. George is reaching out in Love.
Kyle's joy

Kyle Tallman Time with my wife and kids!
Carol's grandson

Carol Rosales

What an amazing staff!
So remember no matter how bad it may seem, the Holy Spirit is at work here.
There is always Some Good News, especially at CSMSG!

Signing off until next time-
