Celebrating Main Street's Finest: Main St. Mercantile

March Business of the Month

In the heart of our beloved Main Street, stands a cornerstone of fashion and lifestyle: Main St. Mercantile. For two decades, this establishment has been synonymous with quality, style, and a deep-rooted connection to its patrons. Most recently, they embarked on an exciting expansion, weaving together three distinct concepts - Hers, His, and Home - to create an immersive shopping experience like no other.

Meet the Brands at the Men's Store

Faherty, Paige, Frank & Eileen, Rails, and Schotts NY - names that evoke a sense of luxury, comfort, and timeless elegance. Each label brings its unique flair and essence, catering to diverse tastes and preferences, yet united by a commitment to craftsmanship and sophistication.

A Journey of Expansion

The decision to expand wasn't merely about meeting a need in our community; it was a natural evolution, a seamless extension of their core business. Owner, Darla Fisher, envisioned a space where fashion seamlessly intertwines with lifestyle, where every corner tells a story of elegance and refinement. Moreover, she couldn't resist the allure of Main Street's vibrant energy, where clients traverse the sidewalks, exploring and indulging in the offerings of both sides of the street.

20 Years of Gratitude

In the tapestry of Main Street's businesses, Main St. Mercantile stands as a testament to resilience, creativity, and community spirit.

NEW MEMBER SPOTLIGHT:

THE SCALE COLLECTIVE

The Scale Collective is a design firm based in Tiburon, and founded on the principle of elevating the everyday human experience through interiors and artful living. We focus on interior design, interior architecture, and art consulting for our clients, as well as concierge & property management services.

We work on narrative driven design, and believe that each project is a conversation born out of how the client wants to live and feel in their spaces. We are driven by curiosity and the creative worlds of art, architecture, nature, and music.

In our practice we are passionate about the interplay of scale in space, to create dynamic, livable interiors. We love working with up and coming, as well as established artists to commission custom art and works in our projects -- and strive for a collected approach, and are particularly passionate about large scale installation art in spaces. We work in a variety of styles and influences, but are known for a blend between relaxed coastal California living, meets European sensibilities and style. Our aesthetic can be described as: sculptural, modern, sinuous, earthen, and organic.

MUSIC AT OLD ST. HILARY’S

Sunday, March 24, 2024 4 p.m.

Michael Manring, Larry Kassin & John R. Burr

Old St. Hilary’s Landmark, 201 Esperanza, Tiburon

Solos, Duos and Trios

As individual players, Michael Manring, Larry Kassin and John R. Burr have all carved out extensive, multi-faceted careers exploring a vast array of musical styles. Together they create intriguingly uncategorizable music that blithely ignores stylistic divisions hemming in jazz, rock, folk, avant-garde, and world music.

An unsurpassed master of the electric bass, Manring has collaborated with some of the world’s most esteemed improvisers. Kassin is a tremendously resourceful jazz flutist, and Burr is a rollicking pianist with total command of jazz, blues and pop idioms. Together this trio hones extemporaneous-jazz-chamber-fusion-music for our times.
