One Book, One Presbytery Continues

In case you missed it, Monday was the first session of our book study, but it's not too late to join the conversation! We covered the Preface and Chapter 1 (watch the video here), and will continue with Chapters 2, 3, and 6 of The Color of Law, by Richard Rothstein.

Next Monday's event will explore de jure and de facto segregation and displacement with guest speaker, E. Evans Paull, who spent 45 years as a city planner in Baltimore, and is known nationally on urban redevelopment issues. He began his career in the Baltimore City Department of Planning and specialized in the redevelopment of brownfields. He tackled these same issues at a national level, eventually starting his own consulting business, Redevelopment Economics. Although now retired, many of his published articles and papers still appear on the Redevelopment Economics website. He is author of Stop the Road, an up-close-and-personal account of Baltimore’s epic 40-year battle over expressway plans.

Registration remains open! Sponsored by the Presbytery of Baltimore Dismantling Racism Team and In the Loop Ministry Group. (Full participation in the program will meet the Dismantling Racism requirement.)
