Those words from Jesus are the driving force behind the Susquehanna Parish event at Grove Presbyterian in Aberdeen, MD. Parish members will come together to package meals as part of the Rise Against Hunger (RAH) program. The cost to provide a meal for a person is only 35 cents per day.
After packaging, the Rise Against Hunger organization will ship the meals to a needy country to primarily be used as lunches for students attending their partner schools. Sometimes, this is the only meal these students receive each day. The goal of RAH is to wipe out worldwide hunger by the year 2030.
Because of COVID concerns, the packaging will occur in shifts of 1.5 hours each. Sanitizing will occur after each shift.
