Trinity Stewardship Campaign Begins

Sunday, November 2 officially kicks off our Stewardship campaign at Trinity.

Trinity and beyond

There will be NO SECOND SUNDAY special gathering of gifts for NOVEMBER.

Instead, on November 21st, from 10 am - 12 noon, we will be gathering FROZEN turkeys in front of Trinity.

Many grocery stores give frozen turkeys free with "’points’ and I know that we often do not claim them, because we have other plans for Thanksgiving. If you have the opportunity to receive a free turkey, or if you can purchase one, we have a way to get them to needy Lehigh Valley residents.

You may bring them to Trinity during the hours noted. We will have people waiting to receive them - or CALL Marcie Lightwood at 484-767-2908 or Rick Weaver 610-533-7204 or another member of the Outreach Committee and we will pick up those turkeys - but only on November 21st early in the day - we have no means of keeping them safely frozen if we get them at other times.

We will take them to a turkey collection at Coca Cola Park, where they will be put into refrigerated trucks and distributed to many agencies throughout the Lehigh Valley. These will go to free dinner kitchens, like New Bethany, and to places where needy people can claim them for their own Thanksgiving feasts. Thanks so much!

There will be no Trinity Congregational Brunch at Borderline Restaurant in November, December or January.

We are seeking other restaurants that can accommodate up to 20 people on a Sunday morning. Please send suggestions to Lynn Piccolo, Ivan Martin or Gloria Tarby, members of the Outreach Committee.

Our Capital Campaign Continues

Even though the active phase of our campaign has ended, the window is still open. If you were still considering your response or just hadn’t gotten around to returning your card, please do so. We will continue to gratefully accept your contribution to this campaign.

It's ever too late to experience the joy of generosity!
