Did you hear about the new skyscraper being planned for Oklahoma City that will become the nation's tallest? Human beings are fascinated by things that are big, showy, and attention grabbing. This Sunday, we'll hear a couple of scriptures that invite us to redirect our attention to things that are small or easily overlooked. Jesus teaches us not to discount these things because, in fact, they can be powerful in their own way. How does God's Kin-dom of love and justice take root and grow in small and humble -- but still powerful -- people and places? Pastor Jeremy's message is called "Small But Mighty."

A word about worship at Tigard UMC on Sunday, June 23

The closing worship service of the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference session (meeting at Tigard UMC) is on Sunday, June 23 at 9:30 a.m. Due to the number of people attending the conference, the TUMC sanctuary and parking lot may be at full capacity that morning.

We are asking TUMC congregation members who are not actively assisting with worship the morning of Sunday, June 23 to participate online. The worship service will be streamed by the Annual Conference on Vimeo. A link to the livestream will be provided next week.

We apologize that we are not able to accommodate everyone in-person on that Sunday morning! If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Jeremy.

New Tigard UMC Administrative Assistant

We are pleased to announce that Karen Kiser has been hired as the church’s next administrative assistant. Karen has worked for our church in a variety of capacities for many years. She is a warm, kind, smart, and hard-working person. Karen starts in this role the week of June 17 and will be working 20 hours per week. The new office schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Tigard PRIDE Parade and Festival

The Parade is at 2 p.m. on Durham Road and the Festival is at Tigard High School from 2:30-5 p.m.
