Tiger News
Happy Friday,

It has been a busy week at Christ the King Catholic School!

1) Our Middle School Students started the new ILEARN test. They will be done early next week. Our 3rd-5th graders will start on Thursday.

2) We had our annual disAbility Awareness Week where all students were able to learn about people of all abilities through presentations and activities. For more information check out this link from the Joseph Maley Foundation.

3) Our teachers participated in a two-day writing workshop where they learned a lot of new strategies to implement with their students now and in the coming years.

4) Last but not least, our students donated over $800 to our Haitian Student Lunch Program this week for a grand total of $1,200! Thanks to them, 6 students will receive lunch for an entire year! I am so proud of our student protectors!

We also have a lot to look forward to! I am looking forward to attending our second graders First Communion tomorrow and our annual May Crowning Mass next Wednesday.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and is able to spend lots of time with their families.

Feed the Friar NEW
Hello Christ the King School Families,

Some of you know, but for those who don't, we like to provide Fr. Todd with a meal every week, so he doesn't have to cook every night. We call it "Feed the Friar" and we run it through a sign up genius forum. If you would be interested in providing a meal for Fr. Todd, please feel free to sign up. All the particulars are on the sign up, which can be accessed through the following link:

If you have any questions, contact Anne Gozdecki or call the Parish office.
Summer Volleyball Clinics Here at CKS NEW
The Volleybal School - Summer Clinics for Girls and Boys with Coach Angie Kubacki and Coach Katie Kluger on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights
June 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 25, 26, 27, July 9, 10, 11

The Volleyball School is now open for registration. Summer instruction is available to volleyball players of beginning or intermediate skill levels. We will focus on developing individual skills and fundamentals. You will not want to miss this amazing opportunity for your aspiring volleyball player to learn, develop, enhance, and fine tune their volleyball skills in a fun and positive learning environment. The summer clinics will immerse your volleyball player in the sport, giving them the kind of training essential to improvement no matter what their ability level. Ball control, hitting, and serving are a few of the skills that will be highlighted. Their performance as a volleyball player will improve, along with their self-confidence! We believe in individual instruction with a focus on quality and quantity of touches. Standing around in drills is not allowed!

Space will be limited to enhance the individualized and focused instruction with 2 coaches. You can sign up for all the clinics as a package of 12 or as an individual clinic that fits into your player's schedule. Click here to register.

If you have any questions, please contact both Angie Kubacki a angiekubacki2321@gmail.com  and Katie Kluger at  katie.kluger@comcast.net

We hope you can make it!
