Happy Friday,

It was an amazing week at Christ the King Catholic School!

Thank you parents for putting the Appreciation in Staff Appreciation Week. It was an overwhelming and humbling week of thank you cards, meals, and gifts.

Congratulations to Garin Colasessano and Wade McAllister for being recognized as excellent servers at this week's Mass.

2019-2020 PTO Board Nominations Requested Updated
T he PTO Board is still seeking volunteers for Vice President next year. Natalie Sutton has served as VP and will step into the role of President. Michele Pettrone will continue as Treasurer, and Jennifer McKendry will join her in training for the Treasurer role the following year. Lauriale Cabrera will serve as Past President next year.

Overall, we are a small, laid back group of parents, who plan fundraisers and activities to make CKS a better place by supporting the teachers and encouraging parent involvement at the school. Both positions are asked to attend one monthly PTO Board meeting on a weeknight evening (schedule to be determined by Board members). The VP recruits room parents and trains for the future role of President. The Secretary takes minutes at monthly meetings and shares minutes for approval. We are excited to try some new formats with the PTO meetings next year and to continue and build upon the good work already being done.

If interested, please contact Natalie Sutton ( nataliemsutton@hotmail.com   or 317-440-5261).

Calling Bakers of all ages

I am sending this email to recruit more help for the annual Summer Social. I am in charge of the Sweet Shop. Over the years, we have gotten homemade goodies through the parish service league and thought that, this year, I would invite the school families to help as well. Our booth is 100% profit for the school and parish, since the sweets are donated. We are looking for cookies, brownies, cakes, pies, or whatever sweets you are willing to donate.
This year the Summer Social is on Friday, June 21st and Saturday, the 22nd. There is a sign up genius in place if you would like to sign up that way, however you can just drop things off at Touhy Hall on June 21st without registering. You can ask for me or Dave and Katie Thompson and we will get your delicious sweets to where they need to go!
As always, Christ the King is a wonderful Parish and we appreciate your consideration and all your help!

June 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 25, 26, 27, July 9, 10, 11

The Volleyball School is now open for registration. Summer instruction is available to volleyball players of beginning or intermediate skill levels. We will focus on developing individual skills and fundamentals. You will not want to miss this amazing opportunity for your aspiring volleyball player to learn, develop, enhance, and fine tune their volleyball skills in a fun and positive learning environment. The summer clinics will immerse your volleyball player in the sport, giving them the kind of training essential to improvement no matter what their ability level. Ball control, hitting, and serving are a few of the skills that will be highlighted. Their performance as a volleyball player will improve, along with their self-confidence! We believe in individual instruction with a focus on quality and quantity of touches. Standing around in drills is not allowed!

Space will be limited to enhance the individualized and focused instruction with 2 coaches. You can sign up for all the clinics as a package of 12 or as an individual clinic that fits into your player's schedule.  Click here to register.

If you have any questions, please contact both Angie Kubacki a angiekubacki2321@gmail.com  and Katie Kluger at  katie.kluger@comcast.net
