Pig in the Blanket Fundraiser:

We are so thankful for the response we have received for the pig-in-the-blanket fundraiser! Thank you for those who have ordered and have spread the word. Reminders about the work nights:

We will be making pigs in the school gym on October 28 and 29.. Thank you for all who have signed up for their shift. If you haven't signed up yet and have a student in K-8th grade, please use https://signup.com/go/cOvZkBY and choose the work shift that works best for you and your family.     

Each family will need to send at least one parent to work on your night, but both parents are welcome to come. If you are unable to work, you may ask another adult to work for you, a grandparent, friend, or co-worker. If you do not sign up for a shift, we will assign you a night and job. There is some heavy lifting so men are appreciated for that job.  

We allow students in 7th grade and older to come and help. They can not work in place of a parent, but they can come and work alongside a parent. If you know anyone else who is willing to help (friend or family), please invite them to come along. We also welcome any Associates (past OCCS parents, grandparents, or supporters of the school) to come and assist any of the nights.  

If you are interested in seeing the full process of making pig-in-the-blankets, you are welcome to come to both work nights.

• Prayers of Confession: We are broken and we are in need of our Savior and King to wash us clean.
• Prayers of Thanksgiving: We thank God for safety while covering silage piles, for the opportunity to raise funds for OCCS through the Fall Frozen Pig fundraiser. We thank God for our school community and the relationships that build when we work together.
• Prayers of Supplication: We ask God to guide our teachers, staff and board members, as well as students as they walk in His ways. We ask for continued safety for the farmers as they bring in the harvest that He has provided.
