OCCS Christmas Teacher/Staff Appreciation Program:
We have had such a great response that we are EXTENDING our Appreciation Program for two more days.
We also inadvertently missed one staff member-- Julie Letsche, the Title I Teacher. If you have already submitted the survey and would like to add to your gift for Ms. Letsche please contact one of the Room Parent Committee members. If you have not already submitted a survey, she is now listed-- so you can enter your gifts as normal.
We will close the Program on November 21, at noon, so our teachers and staff can have their appreciation dollars just in time for Christmas!
As the holiday season approaches, we know many of you are thinking about ways to bless others. The OCCS Christmas Teacher/Staff Appreciation Program is here to make it easy and fun for you to show your appreciation to the amazing staff who impact our children's lives every day—including bus drivers, cooks, and everyone in between!
Just a Reminder:
If you prefer, you can still give a personal gift to your favorite teacher or staff member. This program is just an additional option for those looking for a convenient way to give. You don't have to participate in this program AND get the teacher a separate gift. Our goal is to make things simple and stress-free, so you can focus on the joy of giving.
How It Works:

We've set up a Google signup form where you can specifically add the amount you'd like to give to any OCCS teacher or staff member. Whether it's a little or a lot, it's completely up to you—no pressure at all!
- At Christmas time, we'll total up the gifts for each staff member, and they will receive a certificate to shop at the TRIP Office for gift cards of their choice, based on the total amount gifted. While the amount you give remains anonymous, each teacher or staff member will receive a list of the families who contributed to their gift.
Important Details:
- Participation is completely voluntary, and how much you participate is entirely up to you.
- Submit your form online by November 19 and turn in your payment to the office before November 19, 2024. Payments must be made by check only.
- Make checks payable to Tiger PAWS; all gifts are non-tax deductible.
This program is not intended to replace any gifts provided through the OCCS General Fund/student registration fees, which already cover various occasions like teacher birthdays, teacher appreciation day, etc. It's just a convenient, no-stress way to spread a little extra holiday cheer across the entire OCCS community.
