Tilda Basics and Vintage Nursery Charm

Brie Basics and Poppy Seed Basics by Tilda arrived this week and we are over the

moon with excitement about the collection of charming pillow designs she has created using these new fabrics, along with a few from her Creating Memories collections.

First let’s look at the fabrics:

Brie Basics

Brie is a sweet mini-floral, great for smaller applique projects and fun in combination with larger prints. You may recognize a few of the colours from the Creating Memories collections. The print was so popular it has been expanded to sixteen colours --- so much sweetness!

You'll get one of each print in our Fat Quarter and Fat Eighth bundles.

Charm packs include two squares of each print.

Brie Buttons are on order and will be arriving soon!

Poppy Seed Basics

Poppy Seed is a versatile tiny dot in grey tone pastels, perfect when you need something more than a solid and ideal for backgrounds.

It is available in fifteen colours – and we have bundles and charm packs all ready for you!

Stonehenge Oh Canada 14

Rich reds and creams make a Canadian statement in this collection by Deborah

Edwards of Northcott.

The panel is stunning with its cascading maple leaves set against the cheater print of tiny pieced blocks. Add a couple borders to make a wall hanging, or create a larger quilt by using the panel as the centre, surrounded by pieced blocks from the beautiful coordinating fabrics.

Wool Kit - Fine Feathered Friends

Are you a bird watcher? Can you believe the robins are back already? If you love birds and wool applique, this kit is calling your name. The little birds are approximately 3” x 6”. Pattern by Bonnie Sullivan and wool required to complete all five ornaments are included in the kit. Threads, embellishments and fusible web are not included.

I hope everyone enjoyed Demo Day last Friday and Saturday. Did you notice how perfectly arranged the chairs were? They were a monument to symmetry and precision. That was all me - I did that!

Don't forget to register for Celebrate You! Some of you have asked if I will be there. I will ..... probably lurking in the background or hiding in the kitchen where I can steal treats.

If you like my editorials feel free to tell everyone you know about them.

I hope to see you in the shop soon.
