The Tiger's Roar!
Tildenville Elementary School Community Brief
Wednesday, June 2, 2021
Tildenville Community Member,

This is a special edition of The Tiger's Roar! to close out the 2020-2021 school year. Our Tigers have been on their summer break for one week now and our summer camp and reading programs are getting underway (please see details below). In this issue we have included a number of images from last week's 5th grade celebration which I thought the community would enjoy. While these may not apply to all of our families today, one day each of our students will enjoy a similar year-end special event!

There is a real phenomenon in education that affects all grade levels - The Summer Slide. This refers to lost learning gains over the traditional summer break when students totally disconnect in core areas such as reading and math. In this edition we have included a number of reading options for our Tigers which I strongly encourage our families support. While it may seem like a long way off now, classes resume on Tuesday, August 10 and we want all of our Tigers to keep up the learning momentum they worked so hard to acquire this past school year.

Enjoy the rest of your week and please remember to visit our school website and Facebook page all along over the summer!

In Tiger Pride,

Mrs. Alvarez
Proud Principal
Tildenville Elementary
