Till The Storm Passes By!!! 9/29/24
Matthew 14:22-24 (KJV)
22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
“JESUS CONSTRAINED HIS DISCIPLES TO GET INTO A SHIP.......................
AND GO BEFORE HIM UNTO THE OTHER SIDE.”

In the above Scriptures, our Lord and Savior gave His disciples CLEAR AND CONVINCING instruction as to what to do and where to go-
“GET INTO A SHIP AND GO BEFORE HIM UNTO THE OTHER SIDE!!!!!”
Very simply-DUH!!!!!!!!!! Nothing ambiguous...........
CLEAR AND CONVINCING INSTRUCTION.
Yet a storm SUDDENLY arose/happened............
Makes no sense-AMEN!!!???

This past week, a hurricane-HELENE-struck the coast of Florida-at least 300 miles from where I reside in Georgia.
I don't know why, but it makes me ANGRY when a hurricane erupts that far away from me and somehow affects MY life-300 plus miles away!!!
I, sadly, do not own property on the beach-I wish I did. I LOVE THE OCEAN and wish I could actually live there.
So...... WHY do the problems that beach residents suffer affect me-should I repeat-300 plus miles separated??????
I live where I believe I am supposed to live, I try to do what I believe the Lord instructs me to do.............
SO!! WHY THE STORM IN MY LIFE?????????????????????
With ample warning and instruction, I took all the precautionary preparations in advance of the KNOWN storm approaching.
As a seasoned Southerner, I acquired the necessary milk, eggs, and bread-well ahead of “THE STORM” as we will now term it.
I even have a GENERATOR, given to me by a beloved friend and brother!!!
Every month-EVERY MONTH-I FAITHFULLY crank my generator and allow to run for 30 minutes.
I went to the gas station and filled up my gas can. I AGAIN cranked my generator-FILLED UP ITS TANK-the day before the approaching storm.
I WAS PREPARED!!! I “did all I could!!!”
“HAVING DONE ALL, TO STAND.”
Ephesians 6:13 (KJV)
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
The storm struck, I lost power, AND my generator would not crank.
NOBODY likes storms!! I HATE STORMS!! Storms DISRUPT one's life!!!
WE can TRY to prepare ourselves adequately and sufficiently in advance of any know or unknown storm, BUT we ultimately NEED Jesus to calm our storms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Matthew 14:25 (KJV)
25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
The “fourth watch” means the WEE hours of the night 12AM-6 AM.
“JESUS went unto them, walking on the sea!!!!!!!!”
THANK GOD I survived the storm!!
Today is Sunday and the storm is gone.
The sun is brightly and beautifully shining-the only casualty is my chicken house which I accidentally knocked over in trying to safely position my cars to protect against fallen trees-PRAY FOR MY CHICKENS...................
In the dark of the midnight,
