"A crew of cowboys along with these two have been up before the sunrise riding to different parts of this pasture to gather it. They have reached their destination and are waiting for the others to start a big drive. The "Morning After The Rain" can be wet and chilly, so they built a fire to warm up a bit before they start to hear the distant whoops and hollers and see the others pushing their cattle.”

Hello! 

We wanted to share Tim's two NEW original works for the 50th Anniversary of Prix de West Art Show and Sale at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. Tim won the 2003 Prix de West Award for his painting "On To Better Pastures" and it is part of their permanent collection. 

Participate in-person during the Closing Celebration Dinner (registration required) or fill out the Live Auction Registration Form for proxy service. The Museum will contact you to confirm your participation and payment method.

This fast-paced, live auction gives art aficionados new and old a thrilling way to bid on works by celebrated Prix de West artists.

"I enjoy painting horses and skies probably more than anything else I paint. When I started this painting I had a completely different sky in this painting; it still had the ray’s of light, but they were going down instead of rising. It didn’t emit the mood I was looking for so I scraped it all off and did this one. This is what I wanted to create the feeling. I wanted to leave it up to the viewer which was the noble breed, the horses or the cowboy.” ~ Tim Cox~

The public is invited to preview the art at the museum beginning June 2nd and it will hang until August 7th, 2022. No formal invitation is needed, and, as usual, this is an event living up to its French title meaning "Best of the West."
