We're excited to announce that this year's Tour of Homes will be on Saturday, May 16th from 10 AM to 2 PM in North Collins, NY.
We'll have our shop and office open for a behind the scenes look at how we build. From the design stage with AutoCAD to cutting the mortise & tenon joinery and finishing the timbers, discover what it takes to make one of our timber frame homes.
| | Once you're finished at our shop you can take a two minute drive to a recently completed Burke. An attached garage and full walkout basement gives this home a larger than life presence (we've seen more than one person stopped on the side of the road to admire it). | | All the major players from Timberbuilt will be at the Tour, including both of the Sams, Adam, Andy, George, Mike, Carrie, Emely, Brian, and many other Timberbuilt team members who you'll have the opportunity to meet for the first time. We're looking forward to seeing you there! | | Speaking of our backyard, spring blizzards be damned we're kicking off the 2026 building season with a beautiful Skyline half an hour from our shop. Whether it's the Rocky Mountains or the lush forests of Western New York, when you can't miss the view you can't beat the Skyline 💪 | For more pictures, renderings & floor plans you can check out our projects page. | | |
Our field crew will be visiting fifteen states (at least) this year. If you live in Arkansas or Missouri and you're ready to build, that would let someone travel from coast to coast without stepping foot in a state that doesn't have a new Timberbuilt in it. We may be from Buffalo, but North America is our backyard. | 2026 is going to be a jam-packed but we're excited for the challenge. Our homes endure, so the frames we build today could easily be standing two-hundred years from now. That kind of lasting impact is a huge motivation for everyone at Timberbuilt, and it tells us that we've got some meaningful work to take care of. |
| | Our team has been hard at work drafting this year's projects. From alterations to start from scratch creations, these are a couple of designs that have grabbed our attention. | When we built the original Mini Kirsch we were constrained by an existing foundation. On this upcoming build in Washington we were starting with a blank canvas, so our client elected to enlarge the dining nook to accommodate an eight person table. In the basement the expanded footprint houses an additional bedroom. | A client in Colorado asked Timberbuilt to come up with a wedding venue that would stop the bridal party in their tracks. We may be biased, but we think that our design team has drafted a building that will do just that. | | Our clients build all over the United States which gives us a great excuse to travel. The latest videos in our client stories series come from Pennsylvania, New York and Colorado. | | |
Nestled on a hill above the Delaware river, Angie & Guy were deeply involved in the construction of their Olive.
They prepped and installed the ceiling boards, built most of the wood furniture & stairs, and put in the gorgeous stone retaining wall along the west side of the home. The results speak for themselves, and in this video they explain how they did it.

Our three-season garden shed includes the same hand-crafted timber architecture found in our homes, and benefits from an airtight SIP enclosure which makes it impervious to rodents and insect pests.
We included a cozy front porch for hanging out in the summer, or taking a break from the gardening during the heat of high noon.
| | Sam stopped by the job site to speak with Tim as his Kirsch was going up in the background. Apart from an interesting interview, this video showcases the efficiency of building with SIPs. Faster than you can brew a pot of coffee, the Timberbuilt field crew lowers a ~150 SQF section of roof into place above the kitchen. | | |
Brian Kirsch — no relation to The Kirsch — recently joined our design team and we're thrilled to have him! With more than 20 years' experience in architecture, construction and manufacturing, Brian brings the type of hands-on knowledge that only comes from doing.
When he's not designing timber frame homes, Brian loves hiking through scenic trails and mountains, camping, or traveling to new places. He's going to fit right in around here 🤜

| | It’s all hands on deck as we canvas the country putting up homes. A winter from hell (we were convinced that summer had been canceled) meant that foundations couldn’t go in on time and projects that were on the board for April got… | | This past year our field crew planted the Timberbuilt flag in states across the country — Utah, Montana, Idaho, Michigan, Missouri, Virginia, and many more. | |
We're rolling into fall with a full head of steam, chiseling sticks of wood into thousand pound puzzle pieces, sanding, staining, and standing 'em up in epic spots across the continent, then cladding them with a plush layer of energy-efficient structural insulated panels.
| | Winter presses on, the holidays are ancient history, and we’re taking a few minutes to share some of the ins and outs of what’s happening with our design and build team. | |
While our field team is traveling from coast to coast and our shop team is busy finishing, framing, and designing, we're heading back to school this fall with project updates, recent builds, and a brand new design.

Like everyone, we've spent a little more time at home these last few years. We built on the lake, in the ski hills, the local villages -- and we knocked out a bunch of major upgrades at our headquarters in North Collins, NY. Here's a quick look at a few of the local projects that kept us busy.
| | |
We have teams pounding nails in Colorado and Montana. Our designers just sent fresh construction docs to the printer. Interns and summer helpers buzz around our shop, bustling by our woodworker aces, who are covered in sawdust, blasting music through the building, cutting, sanding, staining, and stockpiling timber frames into every corner.
| | |
Dancing around our local quarantine list has been a high-intensity, short duration exercise but we’re getting it done with stops in Washington, Montana, and Oregon.
| | |
It’s a strange new world out there. Even though the Timberbuilt office staff has been working from home for over a month we’ve stayed busy, productive, and are positioning ourselves in the starting blocks, waiting for the shot to get out and start building again.
| | |
Autumn’s here, there’s a chill in the air, and it’s time to find a nice warm spot and hunker down for the winter BUT WE ARE NOT HUNKERERS.

From the outer reaches of North America, 3,300 miles from home, with a pack of bloodthirsty Kodiak bears in pursuit --
OUR FIELD TEAM IS BACK...

Oceanfront work sites, 16 hours of sunlight a day, and the world's largest bears. What more could we ask for?

We’ve continued to rack up the frequent flyer miles with recent projects ranging from southern Colorado to South Dakota to the Poconos in Pennsylvania. Here’s a look at a few...

From the Colorado Sunbelt in San Juan National Forest to the "Crown Of The Continent" in Glacier National Park, to our own Lake Erie Basin, we spent our year working with an exceptionally diverse, amazing bunch of clients. THANKS to you all!
