Exploring and Engaging
This summer, staff and Board members had the opportunity to visit three of our 2021 grant recipients, with more visits on the way! We visited the Goodwill of North Georgia Career Center in Athens, YWCO's Girls Club, and the Boys and Girls Club of Winder-Barrow County during summer camp. These programs are providing opportunities for local children and adults alike to thrive.

It is with your dollars that we can continue supporting programs that are moving the needle. Thank you for your continued contributions.

We hope you'll join us as we continue supporting local programs in our three focus areas, making a difference in our community,
and living united.

Board Spotlight: Whit Richardson
Meet Whit Richardson, our 2022 Campaign Chair! Whit is the owner of Taziki's Mediterranean Café in Athens and is passionate about his community. Whit learned about hospitality and community while working and listening to the coffee crowd that gathered daily at his dad's soda fountain in Covington, Ga. After graduating from Samford University, Whit founded a handful of start up businesses before opening a franchise restaurant, Taziki's in Athens GA in 2014. His love for Athens and desire to establish roots in this community inspire him daily to be a good neighbor.

He serves on numerous boards but is particularly excited about his current role as Campaign Chair with United Way of Northeast Georgia as well as being president-elect for the Rotary Club of Athens. When not at Taziki's or serving in the community, he spends time with his girlfriend, Julia, their dog and cat, Cora Belle and Marley. He considers himself to be a decent golfer, Christian, and backgammon player.

Thanks for embodying what it means to LIVE UNITED, Whit!
