SLA Fall Happy Hour

The SLA Fall Happy Hour has been set for November 6, 2019 - if you are willing to host, please contact Dorothea at  slaexdir@sasktel.net  
with a proposed venue.

SLA members host three socials throughout the year: Summer Social in August, Happy Hour in November and Winter Social in February.  

The socials can be held at any location across the province where an SLA member volunteers to secure a location and host the event. The SLA office will assist in publicizing through newsletters, newsflashes and social media. We will contribute to costs with $10 per person, up to $300 dollars.

These events are opportunities to meet people, network and socialize.


Celebrate Saskatchewan Library Week by entering the Book Spine Poetry Contest! 

Book Spine Poetry is a free verse poem composed by:
  • using the titles written on the spines of physical books
  • and stacking the books on top of one another!
Prizes will be awarded in four categories: children (5-8), children (9-11), teen (12-18) and adult (19 and older). Winners in each category will receive a $100 Chapters gift card!

The contest started on September 9 and will run until November 1.

Culture Days are Coming

The deadline to register Culture Days events is September 16.
