Time Flies!
But you can still help us save more dogs.
There's only 3 days left in 2017, now is the perfect time to support the Straydog mission. Not only will your donation be eligible for a 2017 tax deduction but more importantly you'll help us ring in 2018 knowing you provided support for medical, care giving, food and housing!
Straydog Thanks
Thank You -- Thank You!!
Neiman Marcus at The Shops at Willow Bend welcomed Straydog Shelter and Sanctuary in high fashion for 3 amazing showcasing days that provided our organization with exposure and adoptions! We can't thank everyone enough from our connections to the management, staff, tremendous volunteers and all those who stopped by to pet our dogs, complete applications and provide support!
12 applications, 3 dogs already in forever homes
and many home visits are on the calendar!

Jewelry Party for the Pups

A huge thank you to Carole and Rochelle for hosting a fun, fantastic and rewarding jewelry party! Rochelle makes gorgeous handmade pieces and offered to take on custom designs. Graciously all of the proceeds raised were donated to Straydog to support our pups. What a successful event for our rescues as the event raised $1500.

A big high paw to you two and to the many who dropped by to visit and do some early holiday shopping!

Our adoption event on January 20, 2018 will be held at Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar in Addison. Stop by the patio and say hello to our furry friends! In lieu of a donation we're asking for $25+ bottle of wine to be donated and used for our 2018 Gala wine pull.

2018 is all about exposure and showing off our amazing pups so they can find forever homes and we can save more! We're open to suggestions, connections and contacts for restaurants, locations or events where we can meet the public, let us know if you have any input!
We'd love to be a part of your family...

My name is Splinter and I'm one of the handsome male pups from legendary momma Phara, who had 11 of us back in 2014. It has been fun growing up with my siblings and I love running around and being free at Stradyog. I'm a bit shy and quiet at first so I only made it to a few adoption days. My new adolescent self is ready to find my best friend, someone to lounge around with, go on walks, play ball just be there as your right hand pup. I really do love my family here at the shelter, but would rather be curled up at home with you! Let's start 2018 with a ton of fun together, who doesn't love a playmate?
About 2 years ago, back in September of 2015, I made my way to Straydog with a pal of mine, Daylight. I go by Midnight and I don't remember a lot about my past, just that the two of us were out roaming around the great countryside when we stumbled upon this lovely home. The lady fed us and boy was it delicious! We stayed around all day waiting for her. She took us up to Morton's Clinic to get checked and take care of us. I remember she requested they coordinate with Straydog for our new homes. I'm a sweet fella young fella about 3 years old and frankly, I'm tired of all these barking dogs around! I'm friendly with everyone and other animals, but looking forward to a nice quiet home with you!
Send the team an email and our good friend David will bring us for a visit!
Straydog Shelter and Sanctuary is currently home to 173 dogs full of love! Your generous donations support our mission in being a No-Kill shelter and sanctuary, providing an enjoyable and loving home for all ages and challenges faced by our dogs, all while seeking to find their forever home.
