YOUR LOCAL UNITED WAY IS MAKING A DIFFERENCE!
Day of Action

Every year, United Way  Day of Action is held on  June 21st at United Ways all around the world. This is an opportunity for volunteers, donors and advocates who seek to change lives and communities to be part of the solutions that make a real difference in people's lives. This year, United Way of York County's Day of Action was held at the Bethel United Methodist Church. We had 19+ volunteers come out to help us and we were able to clean out the ENTIRE upstairs of the warming center as well as provide a warm meal to those in need.

We would like to give a special thanks to Bethel United Methodist Church for allowing us to hold this event at their facilities, Publix on Gold Hill Road for their donation of five fully cooked turkeys to the event, and to all of the awesome volunteers who came out to help.
Proud Partners of Publix

Publix Super Markets is a major supporter of United Way of York County. On June 26th we where honored to receive their corporate contribution which will further allow us to better help those in need in York County.

Publix's corporate contribution is just one example as to why they were awarded the 2018 Live United Award at our annual Awards Luncheon in April. In the simplest of terms, when you Live United you choose to improve your community by giving of yourself to make an impact. When we work together, we Live United and can make an impact every day.

Publix stores in York County makes an impact by leading an incredible campaign, serving on our Board of Directors, volunteering with United Way and throughout the community. No job is too big for this dedicated organization. As individual stores they do great work, as four stores in our community Publix comes together to do extraordinary work.
Campaign Kickoff!

This  fall, United Way of York County will kick-off our 76th year of raising funds and doing good work in York County. Wes Hayes (Wes Hayes Law Office) will chair the campaign cabinet once again. Wes will lead the charge with the support of Chris Miller (OTS Media Group) and Lain Reavis (Wells Fargo) as co-chairs. We look forward to building upon strong relationships with all campaign partners and growing the work of United Way of York County. Under Wes' leadership and your community support, we are confident that we will experience another successful annual campaign.
