Our Tomato Selection
Your one stop shop for tomatoes big and small!

Tomatoes are an easy crop to grow in this area and whether you have a large veggie garden or are growing in containers, everyone can be successful with tomatoes. I spend a lot of time in the winter researching and finalizing our listing and the result is a huge range of tomato plants to offer you. Hybrid varieties such as Big Beef, Ultra Sweet or Sungold have been bred for flavour, disease resistance, productivity and shelf life. We grow 18 hybrid tomato varieties.

Heritage varieties such as Brandywine, Black Krim or Tigerella are varieties that are over 50 years old, many of which have been grown for over 100 years. We grow over 25 heritage tomato varieties. They come in a range of colours, shapes and sizes – many are unique colours with fantastic flavour, but heritage varieties have less of a tolerance for disease than hybrid varieties. To enjoy a range of flavour, colour and size and to discover what works for you, maybe try planting a mix of both hybrid and heritage varieties. When you come to shop, we are happy to make suggestions!

Achillea Sassy Summer
Warm summer colours

Achillea or Yarrow is a bright and hardy perennial that will light up your garden with warm summer colours and the buzz of pollinators. We have discovered a new collection of Yarrow called Sassy Summer, which grows taller and has a more substantial presence than other Yarrow varieties.

Choose from Sunset, featuring large flower heads of orange blooms that mature to yellow, or Sangria, blooming red with a white eye. Both plants will reach 30” in height, tall for a Yarrow, but stems are sturdy and will not flop. Yarrow loves full sun and will thrive in a range of soil conditions. It is not tasty to deer and rabbits, but butterflies and pollinators love it and we hope you will too!
Pick ripened crops frequently to encourage more production.
How to Start a Beginner Veggie Garden
Grow your own food

The benefits of home grown produce are huge – cheaper, fresher, more flavourful and extremely satisfying! If you’re new to vegetable gardening, don’t be daunted – these simple guidelines are easy to follow and intended for beginner veggie gardeners.
Begonias flower until frost, forming neat mounds.
Fibrous Begonias
Garden treasures

These little beauties are often overlooked in the greenhouses as customers gravitate toward larger plants and bigger flowers. However, these Begonias really are garden treasures. Coming in a range of flower and foliage colours, they will grow in any conditions, ranging from full sun to full shade. They are not fussy about moisture levels and will tolerate drought well. They flower until frost, forming neat mounds and can be used in containers or in the ground. When planted in large numbers in a garden, they make a real colour statement!

Choose from Vodka (bronze foliage with red flowers), Tequila (bronze foliage with dark pink flowers) and three green leaved varieties with white, red or rose flowers. If I have you intrigued, come by to take a look at our stock and try a few plants of your own!
