Scout Day with our Los Angeles Chargers!

Calling all Scouts! This is your last chance to join us in a Scout Day Takeover at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, October 19th, at 1:05 PM as the Chargers take on the Indianapolis Colts. Join your fellow Scouts, family, and friends for a fun-filled day of football and excitement!

Be sure to indicate which Scout Council you belong to; a portion of each ticket sold will go directly back to support your Council. Don’t miss out! See you at the game!

Please note that Nova Awards can no longer be recorded in Scoutbook and will not appear on an Advancement or Purchase Order Report. To purchase Nova Awards, units must present the Scout’s yellow card signed by a Council-authorized Nova Counselor.

It’s that time of year again, and Greater LA Scouting has some amazing fall-themed programs lined up for everyone!

For Cub Scout Families:

Join us at Boo Fest, October 24–26! Enjoy a weekend to remember filled with games, campfires, and nonstop fun for Cub Scouts and their families.

For Scout BSA Troops:

Get ready for Pumpkin Smash, November 14–16! Try your hand at pumpkin destruction using tomahawks, bats, bowling balls, and more. It's an epic weekend you won’t forget.

Both events are held at Firestone Scout Reservation, and we can’t wait to see you out having fun this fall!

Nominate a Scouting Alumnus Who Inspires!

The Greater Los Angeles Scouting is now accepting nominations for the Council Alumnus of the Year Award, the highest honor given by the Scouting Alumni Association at the local level.

This award recognizes former Scouts or Scouters who have used the values and skills gained through Scouting to make a lasting impact in their career, community, and continued promotion of Scouting. It’s not just about volunteer service; it honors those who inspire others and help keep the spirit of Scouting alive across generations.

Nominees should demonstrate excellence in at least one of the following:

Distinguished achievement in their profession or field
Meaningful community service, including support of Scouting or other organizations
Ongoing support and promotion of Scouting alumni efforts

Submission Deadline: Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:59 PM.

The 13th Annual Law Merit Badge Day

Saturday, November 22, 2025

Step into the world of justice with The Legal Eagles, Law Merit Badge Day! This unique event gives Scouts the opportunity to complete the requirements for the Law Merit Badge while exploring criminal law, civil law, and legal history. Participants will also take part in a mock trial, gaining practical, hands-on courtroom experience.

The event is made possible by the Legal Eagles, a team of dedicated legal professionals who volunteer their time to mentor Scouts. Their guidance helps youth better understand the legal system, its role in everyday life, and its potential as a career path.

Join us for a day of learning, discovery, and inspiration, where Scouts today become the legal leaders of tomorrow.
