Proposal decision notices were sent out on 1 June 2022. If you submitted a conference proposal and did not receive a notice, please email us at events@amsmusicology.org. The deadline to edit accepted proposals is 11:59pm ET, 15 June 2022.

Trobár, a small band dedicated to bringing alive medieval music for modern audiences, will perform a lecture recital titled "Il Dit / Elle Dit: Love and Dialogue in the World of Christine de Pizan."

Katharina Uhde and Larry R. Todd will compare and contrast Florence Price's Fantasy No. 2 with her earlier Fantasy in G minor, No. 1, and conclude with a performance of both.

FOUR WAVE SECOND LINE
This ensemble, led by Kwami Coleman, will be a collective improvisation between tuba, snare, drum, and piano designed to evoke the traditional brass band blended with a modern amplified sound.

JULY 1: APPLICATIONS FOR ANNUAL MEETING TRAVEL GRANTS DUE
The AMS offers Annual Meeting Travel Grants to AMS members who have little or no financial support to travel to participate in the Annual Meeting. Apply by 1 July 2022.
AUGUST 15: HAMPSON FUND APPS DUE
Applications for the Thomas Hampson Fund are due 15 August 2022. The Hampson Fund fosters editions and scholarship on classic song in all its contexts. Applicants may submit proposals for any stage of research.
AUGUST 15: GREENBERG AWARD APPS DUE
Applications for the Noah Greenberg Award are due 15 August 2022. The award stimulates active cooperation between scholars and performers by recognizing and fostering outstanding historical performing practices.
SEM & SMT ANNUAL MEETING NEWS
SEM TRAVEL AWARDS
The Society for Ethno-musicology (SEM) is offering several travel awards for the 2022 Annual Meeting. The deadline to apply is 15 July 2022.
SMT STUDENT PRESENTATION AWARD
The Society for Music Theory (SMT) annually gives the Student Presentation Award to a music student for a scholarly presentation at the Annual Meeting.
SMT SUBVENTIONS
The SMT Annual Meeting Grants Subcommittee considers special funding requests from standing committees, interest groups, and individual SMT members.
PEER LEARNING PROGRAM
SMT Peer Learning Program workshops are three-hour seminars led by prominent scholars intended to encourage "thinking together."
SMT provides funding to certain groups to travel to the meeting. For a list of eligibility requirements and application procedures, visit the 2022 Annual Meeting website.
