New Homeownership Program

Hanover and King William Habitat for Humanity continues to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. However, the current real estate market has created a significant challenge in our ability to acquire land. We don't want this to keep us from building affordable homes, so we are now looking for potential applicants who have their own land but can't afford to build a home.

If you own property that you would like for Habitat to build on we would like to invite you to apply if you meet the other requirements!

This is a unique opportunity and a temporary solution to our land shortage so that we can continue to build homes over the next year. If you do not own land, don’t worry! Our committee is working hard to find and purchase more land. We will open applications to everyone when we secure more land and you will have an opportunity to apply at that time.

Applications for this opportunity will only be open for a short time. Please email kbell@hkwhabitat.org or contact our office at

Welcome Michele!

We are excited to announce that Michele McCabe joined the Hanover and King William Habitat staff in February as the new Director of Development! She joins us from the development team at a private school where she had many years of experience across the many aspects of fundraising. She is excited to join the team and help us with our vision of everyone having a decent place to live. Welcome, Michele!

April's Repair

As a working mom, April not only tends to her two daughters but also works with Alzheimer patients during the day. April came to Habitat needing a major bathroom repair. Unfortunately, her only bathroom had a faulty drain line that caused the floor to deteriorate. There was literally a hole in the bathroom floor! April patiently waited for months as Habitat experienced supply chain delays for some of the materials needed. After nearly 6 months, Habitat was able to fix all of the floor damage and replace the shower. Now she and her girls don't have to worry about falling through the floor and hurting themselves!

Greenwood Church Road Update

The Palamino family's new home is nearing completion! We are hoping to be able to finish all work and have the family move in later this month. We will send out an email and put it on social media once we have a dedication scheduled. Stay tuned!
