Communicating Employee Changes
A lot of employee changes take place at this time of year. A number of ministers and other staff are resigning, retiring, or transitioning from one congregation to another. Those continuing at the same congregation may be getting a change in pay or hours, or moving to a new address.
These forms from the Office of Church Staff Finances allow you to communicate changes easily, helping to ensure that your congregation’s benefits are appropriately administered for your employees:
1. OurEmployee Benefits Change Formis for reporting any kind of change that may influence benefits, including changes in hours or pay, terminations, and address changes.
Does your congregation have a new Treasurer starting in July? New members of the board, or personnel or finance committees? An incoming minister or staff member? Please encourage them to sign up for this newsletter. And remember, previous issues of Compensation and Staffing News (listed with descriptions of articles) can be found on the Office of Church Staff Finances Publications page.
Late June Happenings
Visit Our Virtual Booth
Although we'll miss saying hello in person this year, we do have a presence at Virtual General Assembly. Attending GA? Check out the Church Staff Finances "booth" in the Exhibit Hall.
TIAA Digital Challenge
The TIAA Digital Challenge can help employees plan for their future and learn about paperless, “green,” secure ways to manage their account.
When your employees take the challenge between June 22 and July 1, they might even win a $25 AMEX gift card. (Open to employees, age 18 or older, of UU Employers that have adopted the denominational retirement plan.)
