Did you hear.... Jodee Tindal is leading the 71st Annual WSCGA State Amateur Championship.

Level Par - 72

WooHoo!

The morning started out perfect, fresh cut grass to the height of perfection and as green as a summer fern. A slight breeze and high of 83 for the day with a chance of afternoon showers. Taking the first round lead was Rock Hill's Jodee Tindal posting 4 birdies and 4 bogeys for an even par round of 72. Holding a two shot lead over 7 time WSCGA State Am Champion Dawn Woodard and Clemson standout Gracyn Burgess. 2018 Mytrice Riccoboni Champion, Kayleigh "Buggy" Reinke and Sophia Burnett are 3 shots back from the lead carding 75's.

The State Division has a tight race going on for the lead, thanks to mother nature showing up and wanting to play, as well. The sky's opened up causing a one hour and fifty minute rain delay to take our leaders out of their grove. Coming out of the gate in round one posting 3 birdies and topping it off with a couple of big numbers for a total of 79 and one shot lead, is Pam Prescott from Pickens Country Club. One shot back is Leigh Coulter and Renee Rezzetano with an 80 to sit in second place going into the 2nd Round. Rounding out the leaders in the State Division by Flight include:
