A tiny fossilized molar discovered by Prof. James Rossie belonged to a newly identified extinct species, Simiolus minutus, a small ape that weighed only about 8 pounds, or slightly less than an average house cat.

Because of her expertise, she is featured regularly on CBS Radio as an exit poll analyst. She also serves on the American National Election Studies Board of Overseers and on numerous editorial boards in political science.
